The Employee Experience & Accessibility Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources team by coordinating programs and processes that enhance the employee experience and promote an inclusive, accessible workplace. This position is responsible for a variety of administrative and operational tasks related to onboarding, offboarding, employee communications, coordination of training programs, and provides support to ensure compliance across a wide array of programs, including the review and maintenance of accessibility policies and procedures. The role also supports internal initiatives such as the Culture & Community and Wellness Councils, helps maintain related intranet content, and contributes to staff engagement through recognition programs.

Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach are essential, along with a genuine interest in fostering a positive and inclusive employee experience across the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage HR Status Notifications and ID Badge Requests
  • Input and manage employee data for the emergency response system
  • Organize, schedule, and manage HR related training initiatives
  • Assist with the offboarding process for terminated employees
  • Prepare employment verification letters
  • Provide general administrative support to the SVP, Head of HR and HR team
  • Create and maintain digital personnel folders
  • Support the creation of presentations and newsletters in accordance with organizational formatting requirements
  • Track mandatory annual employee policy attestations
  • Provide overall administrative support to the Culture & Community Council (CCC) and Wellness Council, including compiling committee reports
  • Assist in maintaining the CCC and Wellness Sections of the Intranet
  • Support the review of Accessibility policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accessibility legal requirements
  • Coordinate staff recognition programs for years of service

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

  • Participates in the Annual 5K Fundraiser and 9/11 Commemoration, as assigned.
  • Assists with other special projects and events in support of 9/11 Memorial & Museum, as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience or a combination of related education, internships, or academic projects demonstrating applicable skills and knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to execute tasks with excellence
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and staff across all levels of the organization
  • Working knowledge of Ultipro, Kronos or other HRIS systems a plus
  • Working knowledge of Accessibility legislation such as the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) a plus
