Summary
This position is responsible for managing ROOM•MATE, the Tang Student Art Loan Program, which provides an opportunity for Skidmore students to borrow artwork from the Tang Museum Collection to hang in their living space. The ROOM•MATE Coordinator will direct the installation of an annual exhibition of the artworks, organize and oversee the distribution of the loans, provide updated information for the database for tracking location and condition of the artworks on loan, create publicity and programming around ROOM•MATE, manage the receipt and documentation of returned loans, and all other matters relating to the Art Loan Program.
When not working on ROOM•MATE, which will have concentrated periods of intensity, this position will assist the Assistant Director for Engagement by working on various events and public programs. In addition, this position will be responsible for staffing the Museum on select Thursday evenings (4 - 9 pm) and Sundays (11:30 am – 5 pm).
This position is a 20 hours a week (includes one evening and one weekend day), 12-month position, renewable annually.
Minimum Qualifications:
Pay range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
