Job Description: Marketing and Development Coordinator

 

Job Type: Full-time, hourly non-exempt (40 hours per week)

Reports to: Chief Strategy Officer

 


Marketing:

  • Create and maintain a schedule for Social Media Posts
  • Follow design guidelines to create Social Media posts & content and Marketing Materials. Including but not limited to bi-monthly newsletters and graphics for social media posts/reels
  • Offer templates and design assistance to other staff as needed
  • Maintain website through updates and minor design changes
  • Collaborate with web hosts for technical assistance as needed for website
  • Create, design, and edit bi-monthly newsletter
  • Monitor and Create Campaigns on Google Ads

 

Special Events:

  • Help to promote and staff all special events
  • Responsible for the coordination of Big Truck Day- to include but not limited to correspondence with sponsors, truck drivers, and volunteers, creation of map, securing of permits, inventorying of development supplies, creation of signage and staffing of the event.

Development:

  • Enter donations and sponsorships into database when special projects assistant is out of office
  • Process correspondence with donors in an expeditious manner when special projects assistant is out of office
  • Send membership correspondence- including renewal reminders
  • Assist front desk staff with membership questions and concerns- including resending digital or physical membership cards
  • Assist with fundraising mailing or emailing

 

Museum Duties:

            Reset Museum Floor twice a day

            Clean bathrooms, mop floors, vacuum as needed

            Work at the front desk

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a mix of college /relatable leadership experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and learn new procedures.
  • Demonstrated design skills
  • Experience working with CRM or similar database
  • Excellent knowledge of various software programs such as Canva, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to offer outstanding customer service to all customers.
  • Energetic and positive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and all types of customers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
