Director

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and administrative skills with working knowledge in the nonprofit sector.
• Experience in art curricula, curating exhibitions, and event planning
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills
• Background in art/art history preferred

Responsibilities:

• Oversee instructors, staff of five, and volunteers
• Manage budgets, while driving revenue
• Collaborate with The Atelier’s board of trustees
• Attend monthly board meetings/ schedule and lead weekly staff meetings
  
  

Expectations:

• Serve as the primary ambassador for The Atelier
• Develop partnerships, attend local community events, and build donors
• Fundraising and grant writing for the art school and gallery
• Provide an overall creative vision for the future of The Atelier

Summary: The Director of The Atelier Art School and Gallery oversees educational programming and exhibition curation, requiring a blend of artistic vision and business acumen. They manage staff, budgets, and community partnerships, while driving revenue and curating exhibitions to build a vibrant, sustainable creative environment.

Compensation/hours: This is a full-time position. Candidates with a wide range of experiences and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
